Duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:
General Responsibilities:
The Engineer Officer will be responsible for performance of duties as defined below. The Engineer Officer will provide technical coaching, reviewing work, and approval of Engineering Orders. The Engineer Officer will report to Engineering Manager.
Essential Job Function
- Follow the procedures of the company, as outlined in Part 3 of the Engineering Procedures Manual (EPM).
- Ensure the correct procedures are followed where the Engineering Department provide engineering services for an operator in accordance with their General Maintenance Manual (GMM) or Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE)
- Ensure that all paperwork issued to the aircraft maintenance check / workpack by the department reflects the work scope provided by the customer.
- Assisting production in the interpretation of engineering drawings, SB’s, SRM’s, etc.
- Interpretation of Engineering replies and transcribing the instructions into an unambiguous staged work process.
- Ensure the accuracy of information and instructions transcribed in Engineering paperwork.
- Perform Weight & Balance calculations for aircraft that have been modified or weighed.
- Act as a focal point for communication between production and customer or manufacturer. This may involve liaising with the customer or manufacturer over technical issues such as suggesting repair schemes that would fall outside the scope of the repair manual, electrical wiring problems etc.
- The preparation and control of all paperwork reflects the current status of the aircraft maintenance check.
- Attending the daily production meeting with the relevant information on the Engineering Query status on the current aircraft check.
- Issue memos, maintenance bulletins, technical circulars, as required to Engineering and Production technical staff.
- Provide performance and technical coaching, reviewing work and providing feedback to Engineering staff to enhance their technical capability and performance.
- Approve Engineering Orders and ensure that they are compiled in accordance with the MOE.
Candidate Requirements
- Master’s Degree in a related field or Bachelors Degree in Engineering, preferably Aviation, or equivalent engineering qualification such as EASA Part 66 Basic Licence.
- Minimum 2 years experience working in Engineering position, preferably Aviation.
- Advanced knowledge of the Aviation Regulations (EASA and FAA).
- Ability to work independently and meet aggressive schedules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong interpersonal skills, teambuilding skills, and the ability to persuade others without creating adversarial relationships.
- Set-up, management, monitoring, and controlling large projects of high complexity.
- Demonstrated Leadership.
- Coaching and mentoring ability.
- Works closely with project team members to resolve problems with assigned projects (technical, budget, schedule).
- Interacts with senior management and key officials of other organizations as required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft products required such as Excel and Word.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Physical exertion such as: pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking and light lifting of boxes, bags, files and electronic equipment
- Work is performed at the AAG Hangar in Shannon and possibly offsite providing AOG support
- PPE is provided by Atlantic Aviation Group and its use is mandatory in the performance of your work
- Required to work weekends, holidays and overtime, as necessary
- Must satisfy and maintain airport security requirements
