Environmental Laboratory Technician

The Group’s Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef, and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland.
We are now seeking applications for the position of Environmental Laboratory Technician based in Killeshandra, Co Cavan. Reporting to the Environmental Lead, the successful candidate will perform and maintain the Site Environmental Monitoring Programme at the site. This role will specifically support and lead efforts to improve site quality and GMP standards
Individual: The person appointed should like structure, working systematically, methodically and organised. They will patiently adhere closely to policies, procedures and precedent. They should be thorough and consistently maintain standards. The person should be approachable, a team player with the ability to work on their own initiative.
Main Duties & Skills:
- Manage the Waste Water Testing Laboratory
- Assist with the maintenance of the ISO14001;2015 system,
- Assist with the preparation for all environmental audits and visits
- Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
- A third level qualification while not essential would be desirable
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure.
