Smith Demolition is a leading specialist contractor, certified to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001. We undertake a wide portfolio of work ranging from demolition, hazardous materials removal to civil engineering and specialist plant hire contracts. Our offices are based in Newcastle West, County Limerick and contracts are carried out nationwide utilising a specialised and flexible workforce.
We currently have a requirement for an Experienced General Operative. The role will include all aspects of demolition and asbestos removal works across a variety of contracts. The successful candidate must be capable of working on their own initiative or as part of a larger team and will report directly to the firm’s Contracts Manager. A demolition general operative plays a crucial role in preparing sites for demolition, executing dismantling tasks, and ensuring the safe and efficient removal of materials and waste.
Responsibilities will include:
· Preparing the site safely.
· Dismantling structures.
· Equipment Operation.
· Sorting and recycling materials.
· Adhering strictly to safety regulations.
All suitable candidates must have an up-to-date Safe Pass and Manual Handling at the very least.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent.
