About the Role:
McBreen Group is seeking a highly organised and proactive Fleet & Waste Facility Coordinator to support operations across our Garage and Breffni Organics Waste Facility. This is a unique dual-role position that ensures seamless communication and coordination between our fleet and waste management functions. You'll play a key part in managing vehicle defect reporting and maintenance scheduling, while also overseeing the compliance and traceability of all waste entering the Breffni facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Fleet & Vehicle Operations
- Act as the central point of contact between the Fleet Manager and mechanics.
- Monitor daily vehicle defect reports, ensuring timely repairs and accurate logging.
- Schedule preventative and corrective maintenance for fleet vehicles.
- Track vehicle downtime and work with operations to minimise service disruption.
- Maintain detailed records of all mechanical work performed.
Waste Facility Operations
- Oversee all waste entries via the weighbridge at Breffni Organics.
- Record, categorise, and account for all incoming waste.
- Ensure all compliance documentation is complete and filed correctly (e.g., Waste Transfer Forms, Permits).
- Coordinate sampling and environmental testing of incoming waste.
- Liaise with hauliers, drivers, and producers to ensure waste traceability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Compliance and Environmental teams to meet permit and legal standards.
- Support audits and reporting for both fleet and waste operations.
- Provide updates to key stakeholders and assist with improving operational processes.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and defect reporting
- Understanding of waste management and compliance practices
- Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping
- Ability to multitask across operational areas
- Familiarity with Salesforce, fleet systems, and weighbridge software (desirable)
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in fleet admin, garage operations, or waste facility coordination
- Understanding of waste handling and vehicle compliance regulations
- Experience in a regulated or environmentally focused environment is a plus
