We are currently looking for a Food Safety and Quality Officer
Job Overview:
The purpose of this role is to ensure that the quality of products being dispatched meets the agreed standards and customer expectations. The post holder will assist the Quality Assurance & Compliance Manager to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include but not limited to:
· Implement food safety and quality standards (IFS Food) to ensure all product and food safety specifications are met
· Keep all documentation current and create precise reports to meet Sofrimar and Customer Standards.
· Liaise with relevant government authorities in relation to Quality.
· Perform scheduled inspections / audits
· Monitor and provide guidance to production team as required.
· Inspection and testing of processes and procedures – taking measurements and comparing to predefined standards.
· Maintain Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) program.
Key Skills
· Degree in Food Science or a related discipline, or equivalent third-level qualification in a similar field
· Experience in HACCP implementation and auditing an advantage
· Knowledge of food safety standards an advantage.
