About this job:
The Non-Life Legal Entity & Solvency II team has responsibilities for the Group and legal entities within the Group. It provides actuarial oversight, constructive challenge and support, in addition to fulfilling its required regulatory responsibilities.
About the role:
As part of the Non-Life Legal Entity & Solvency II team your key responsibilities will be Solvency II. This includes:
- Calculation of the Solvency II Technical Provisions and Non-Life Underwriting Risk SCR
- Involvement in the peer review of the reserving work performed by the Reserving team, including taking part in meetings with Pricing, Underwriting and Claims
- Quarterly reporting to relevant committees and to Group
- Annual reports on Solvency II Technical Provisions for legal entities and the Group
- Annual Actuarial Function opinions on Technical Provisions, Underwriting, Reinsurance and ORSA for European entities
- Providing support to Risk and Group Finance on the ORSA and key EBS and SCR deliverables
- Maintenance of documentation of key processes, procedures and results
- Furthermore, you will work on ad hoc projects, such as responding to requests from the regulator
Qualifications
About you:
Your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Qualified graduate of the Institute of Actuaries (FIA) designation, Associate or Fellow of the Casualty Actuary Society (ACAS/FCAS) or equivalent
- Proficiency in the analysis of data and strong MS Office skills
- 5+ years non-life actuarial experience in Solvency II either in reinsurance, insurance or consulting is preferred
- Strong communication skills, written skills and proficiency in English
- High motivation, team-orientation and adaptability
- Ability to work under pressure within prescribed deadlines
- Advanced IT, data management and modelling skills; knowledge of Addactis and/or SQL would be advantageous
