A full-time and permanent position has arisen within Vhi for Head of Operational Resilience, The Head of Operational Resilience will embed and drive our continuous improvement program to improve our maturity levels for operational resilience and Business Continuity. This role is will also have oversight of Insurance Central planning team ensuring all our customer facing services are within agreed service levels.

Role Purpose

• Leads the development of the overall operational resilience framework and deliverables to meet legislative and required maturity levels.
• Leads the development & embedding of our crisis management framework.
• Ensures appropriate governance in accordance and maintains board oversight and approval.
• Embed & integrate operational resilience in the organisation's internal control frameworks & risk framework.
• Support the business areas with assessing and prioritising OR weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
• Oversee our Integrated testing program for Crisis management, business continuity, third party continuity and IT Continuity.
• Formal reporting on Operational Resilience as well as managing our ongoing risk levels as result of internal & external incidents.
• Leads the development, monitoring & reporting of Insurance Operational Plans in conjunction with Insurance COO.
• Develop remediation plans when outside SLA
• Oversee and support the management of the Central Planning team for the Insurance Business to ensure appropriate scheduling and forecasting management that maintain customer service levels.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders driving a culture of resilience across the organisation

Education & Experience

• Minimum five years’ experience in operational resilience and business continuity operational management X
• Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks
• Experience in operational planning & forecasting is desirable
• Good understanding of technology, technical recovery procedures and risks X
• Demonstrated alignment to Vhi values

Skills and Abilities

• Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate our Operational Resilience objectives and maintain alignment with the business strategy.
