The Castle Arch Hotel, part of the Cusack Hotel Group is seeking a dependable and experienced Hotel Porter to join our team on a rotating schedule: 1 week of day shifts, followed by 1 week of night shifts. This is a key role ensuring the comfort, safety, and satisfaction of our guests while maintaining the presentation and security of the hotel. The successful candidate will be confident working independently and capable of responding to a variety of operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing function rooms for events and conferences, ensuring all requirements are met to a high standard.
Performing general maintenance of the hotel grounds and facilities.
Supporting other departments with operational duties and managing deliveries as required.
Maintaining the overall cleanliness and presentation of the hotel throughout the day.
Conduct routine security checks and monitor CCTV.
Respond promptly and calmly to any guest incidents or issues.
Assist with late-night check-ins and early-morning departures.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in hotel night shifts or similar hospitality roles (essential).
Proven ability to work both day and night shifts on a rotating basis.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, use initiative, and remain calm under pressure.
Flexible, reliable, and guest-focused approach to work.
Applicants must be over 18 years and flexible in their availability for work with a minimum of 2 years previous experience working in a busy environment
