Ibec Networks supports members from various industries and business functions through networking forums where they can gain access to knowledge, the latest industry insights, tailored seminars with leading experts and opportunities to network with other businesses.
This role will support the Head of Business Networks in managing member relations and other key stakeholders and identifying opportunities for retention, growth and development that can bring added value to Ibec Network Members. The Executive will also support the implementation of Ibec’s strategy and report directly to the Head of Business Networks.

Member relations; communications and networks
- Assist the Head of Business Networks, manage existing and establish new business networks at a sectoral and business function level and develop the “value add” for Network members as well as the wider Ibec membership.
- Participation and co-ordination of network meetings, including sourcing speakers, ensuring appropriate agendas are prepared, and actions implemented.
- Preparation of member communication and information channels including the monthly ezine Engage.
- Writing relevant articles for inclusion in Ibec Networks communications.
- Offering secretariat support to new networks/representative groups.
- Building and maintaining relationships with senior executives in member companies.
- Deliver other member services including webinars, events and networking as defined by the membership.
Account Management
- Working with the Head of Business Networks to organise, attend key account management meetings, ensuring appropriate meeting follow up and actions are completed.
- Work collaboratively in delivering general account management.
Financial Management and Income generation
Working with Head of Business Networks on
- Collection of membership subscriptions and delivery of budget and financial targets.
- Membership development, at risk & retention.
Supporting delivery of Ibec’s strategy
- Delivery of the Ibec Strategy and the Ibec Customer Charter.
- Work collaboratively across the organisation on initiatives and projects.
Other
- Driving various initiatives as and when required.
- Be an active member of the team.
- Carry out other duties as identified and agreed with the Head of Business Networks that are in keeping with the overall purpose of the position.

ABOUT YOU
Qualifications, skills and experience
- Hold a third level qualification in a relevant business discipline; additional relevant experience would be an advantage.
- Strong ability to multitask and work to and meet tight deadlines
- Very high level administrative, organisational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrates ability to use initiative and judgement in the role
- Excellent IT skills especially excel, word, Powerpoint and Dynamics 365
- Strong communicator and have excellent writing skills
- Experience of working in a diverse and demanding environment
- Working with member service environment
- Experience of working with committees/working groups and operating at a high level
- Working in a small team environment
- Confident, professional and friendly demeanour
