The Brandon Hotel is currently recruiting for the role of Kitchen Porter.
This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, ensuring hygiene standards are met and assisting chefs and kitchen staff with basic tasks to keep operations efficient and organised.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen including floors work surfaces and equipment.
- Wash pots, pans, utensils and crockery promptly and efficiently
- Operate dishwashing machinery safely and correctly
- Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and bins are emptied regularly
- Follow health, safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Support chefs and kitchen staff by keeping work areas organised and well stocked
- Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
Skills and Qualities:
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
- Team player with a positive helpful attitude
- Awareness of food hygiene and safety practices, training provided if necessary.
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings and weekends.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: €13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 39 per week
