About the Role
Emerald Bites Catering is seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team at Oughterard Golf Club. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the kitchen by ensuring high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Operate dishwashing equipment and manage cleaning schedules.
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation when required.
- Handle deliveries and store goods correctly.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and food hygiene standards.
- Dispose of waste safely and efficiently.
- Support the wider kitchen team to deliver excellent service for members, guests, and events.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a catering, hospitality, or kitchen role (desirable but not essential).
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well under pressure.
- A team player with a positive attitude.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings, especially during peak golf season and club events.
