Laboratory Housekeeper

What you'll do:
Keep the PDS and AD laboratories stocked with consumables (e.g., vials, pipette tips, gloves, tissues)
Organize drawers and cupboards to ensure instrument consumables are readily available
Empty waste bags in balances/fume hoods and dispose of waste from AD to the main PDS laboratory
Write off used solvents in the sample manager and log columns and reagents (maintaining the reagent location Excel file)
Sign pipettes back into use after calibration
Perform monthly DI and safety audits
Order columns and new reagents for projects, and receipt consumables and materials
Archive old laboratory notebooks (LNB) and mobile phase books
Print and maintain a stock of labels for laboratory use
Carry out daily/monthly calibrations of balances and equipment
Prepare and top up injector/rinse solutions for all HPLCs
Support the team with incoming tasks, ensuring safety and cleanliness in the lab
What you'll bring:
Experience in laboratory housekeeping or a similar role is great, but not essential—we’ll provide training
Comfort with tasks such as sample management, SAP, DI, GMP, and waste disposal (or willingness to learn)
A flexible and proactive attitude, ready to tackle varied daily tasks
Ability to work independently or collaboratively with a team
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong spoken and written communication abilities
