The Opportunity:
You will lead Operational Excellence (OE) at the Dublin Plant and are a key member of the Dublin Plant Management Team. In this role, you support the leadership team in developing the annual site strategy, ensuring alignment with the division’s overarching goals. You are responsible for managing the site’s metrics, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and value streams. Additionally, you oversee the lean training program, ensuring its effective implementation and continuous improvement across the site.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Operational Excellence (OE) program at the Dublin site, including the development and sustainability of OE infrastructure.
- Support the leadership team in developing and implementing the annual site strategy and tactical plans.
- Deploy OE initiatives, analyze performance trends, and manage value stream programs, KPIs, and digital dashboards.
- Maintain and advance continuous process improvement, including the 6S program and standard work practices.
- Oversee OE training, mentor site OE practitioners, and promote Lean Six Sigma problem-solving at all levels.
- Drive digitalization efforts, contribute to OE standardization across Astellas sites, and engage in external benchmarking and best practice sharing.
Education:
- Degree-qualified in a scientific or engineering discipline, with strong computer literacy and certified to Lean Six Sigma Black Belt level.
- Extensive experience in manufacturing, engineering, or production roles, with a focus on OE, Six Sigma, and business process improvement.
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional improvement projects, delivering sustainable solutions, and driving cultural and behavioral change.
Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
- Extensive experience working in a cGMP environment.
- Experience using and developing data analytics and visualisation tools.
- Experience with operation excellence platforms
Additional information:
- This position follows our hybrid working model. Role requires a blend of home and a minimum of 3 days per week in our Dublin office. Flexibility may be required in line with business needs. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
