  • Assist in the preparation of Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical queries.

Supply Chain & Vendor Engagement

  • Review Mechanical equipment, subcontractor and specialist supplier packages for compliance with performance specifications and design intent.
  • Develop technical comparisons across multiple vendor proposals to support procurement recommendations.
  • Lead or attend technical review meetings with vendors to ensure scope alignment and inclusion of all critical elements.
  • Identify exclusions or scope gaps in supplier quotes and ensure these are addressed prior to final submission.

  • Construction methodologies and sequencing
  • Risks and mitigation strategies
  • Value engineering opportunities
  • Procurement lead times and programme impacts
  • Proposed suppliers and technical schedules
  • Contribute to the tender write-up to ensure technical clarity and quality across all Mechanical elements.

Post-Tender & Early Pre-Construction Support

  • Participate in post-tender meetings, clarifications, and BAFO submissions to provide ongoing technical input and ensure alignment with client expectations.
  • Remain involved in successful projects during the early pre-construction phase, supporting supply chain engagement, cost updates until handover to the project delivery team.
  • Assess and review potential alternative design solutions and equipment options for budget and technical optimisation.

Site Engagement

  • Attend site surveys in Ireland and Europe during estimation period to review project scope.

Requirements & Experience

  • Third level Qualification in Building Services Engineering.
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in a Mechanical contracting or consulting environment, ideally with exposure to pre-construction roles.
  • Experience interpreting and reviewing Mechanical tender designs, specifications, and technical documents.
