We are currently seeking a Night Porter to ensure a warm welcome for our guests, uphold safety standards, and provide seamless overnight service in line with the high standards of our historic property.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist guests on arrival and departure, including handling luggage.
- Complete late-night check-ins in line with hotel policies and procedures.
- Answer telephone calls professionally, take accurate messages, and communicate them promptly.
- Provide light food and beverage service to residents and their guests.
- Ensure accurate accounting of all night-time transactions and cash handling.
- Perform regular security patrols focusing on guest safety, fire safety, and building security.
- Carry out cleaning duties in public areas, toilets, and bars as per the nightly checklist.
- Complete and record safety checks via Logit; report any safety issues immediately.
- Assist with early breakfast service and dining room setup.
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
- Provide support to colleagues by completing additional cleaning or prep tasks during quieter periods.
- Communicate hotel services and information clearly to guests.

- Previous experience in hospitality or security is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit night team.
