Role 2: Specified Purpose Contract, Full-Time (approximate 6 months duration)*
- This specified purpose contract is to cover a temporary internal move.

Salary: €57,375- €82,048 Per annum *
- This role will be filled in line with Public Pay Policy at Point 1 of the relevant Salary Scale unless the successful candidate is appointed from an existing public sector role

Job Purpose
The Officer role within the Industry Digitalisation Team is responsible for supporting Irish tourism businesses in adopting new digital technologies. Responsibilities include managing and implementing digital transformation programmes aimed at improving business revenue, productivity, and visitor experiences.
Job Description
Strategic
Identify opportunities for digital adoption to boost revenue and enhance visitor experience.
Track digitalisation trends in tourism and share findings.
Assess skills gaps among tourism operators.
Contribute to the division’s growth strategy.
Operational
Support and oversee digital transformation programmes as per objectives, plans, and budgets.
Administer aspects of the programme(s), including grant applications and claims, using CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics).
Assist in creating new programmes; creation of marketing lists, communications materials, project plans, and digital initiatives.
Manage relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
Relay stakeholder feedback to management.
Prepare team project reports for effective monitoring and reporting.
Ensure third-party procurement aligns with Fáilte Ireland policy.
Manage financial admin tasks according to Fáilte Ireland policy.
Meet personal and divisional KPIs.
Support sustainability initiatives.
Undertake other duties and contribute to the Industry Digitalisation team as needed.
This role requires travel, with attendance at a number of national and regional locations / sites on an annual basis.
The flexibility to travel domestically, and on occasion internationally is an element of this role.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant role. Recommended experience includes experience of managing large-scale projects in a tourism or digital sector, demonstrating excellent project management skills and communication skills.

Budget management experience
Qualifications/Mandatory Training :
A professional qualification (minimum Level 6 under the QQI Framework) in a related discipline is essential

Basic understanding of Gen-AI tools
Knowledge of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) or similar
A professional qualification Level 7/8 in a digital or project management discipline
