We are now seeking a talented Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate all operational aspects of the hotel, ensuring our high standards are consistently met across every department.
Job Purpose
The Operations Manager will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations across all outlets and departments, including Food & Beverage, Front Office, Housekeeping, Weddings & Events, Leisure, and Maintenance. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires both operational focus and strategic oversight, ensuring service excellence, guest satisfaction, and optimal financial performance.
You will work closely with department heads, the General Manager, and the senior leadership team to deliver operational efficiency, uphold our brand standards, and support Crover House’s ongoing growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management
- Oversee daily operations across all hotel departments, ensuring smooth, efficient, and guest-focused service.
- Support Department Managers to deliver consistent service standards in line with Crover House SOPs.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure seamless guest journeys from check-in to departure.
- Monitor operational KPIs and address areas requiring improvement.
Guest Experience & Quality Control
- Maintain the highest standards of service, presentation, and hospitality across all areas.
- Review and act on guest feedback from all channels, implementing improvements where required.
- Lead operational readiness for weddings, conferences, leisure guests, and other events.
Financial & Stock Management
- Work with department heads to manage budgets, monitor monthly P&L performance, and take corrective action to meet financial targets.
- Ensure effective stock control, supplier management, and accurate monthly stocktakes in relevant departments.
- Oversee cash handling, credit card transaction processes, and adherence to financial procedures.
Team Leadership & HR
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing, service-driven team.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training across all operational departments.
- Manage scheduling, performance reviews, and HR matters including probation and disciplinary processes.
- Promote a positive, motivated, and accountable workplace culture.
Event & Function Coordination
- Work closely with the Events Team to ensure all weddings, conferences, and functions are delivered to the highest standard.
- Liaise with clients pre-event and ensure flawless execution on the day.
- Oversee post-event reviews to identify improvements.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all operations meet legal and company standards for health & safety, hygiene, and fire safety.
- Conduct regular audits and implement necessary corrective actions.
Strategic & Business Planning
- Contribute to the development of annual budgets and operational strategies.
- Support marketing and promotional initiatives by aligning operational delivery with business goals.
- Prepare and present quarterly operations reports and improvement plans.
About You
- 5+ years’ experience in hotel operations management or multi-department leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of hotel operational procedures, service standards, and compliance requirements.
- Proven track record in delivering excellent guest experiences and meeting financial targets.
- Skilled in team leadership, coaching, and performance management.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexible and adaptable, with strong problem-solving skills.
