Your Role
As a Server at The Purty Kitchen, you’ll be the friendly heartbeat of our gastropub—bridging centuries-old charm and modern conviviality. You’ll deliver impeccable hospitality in a setting that seamlessly blends the weight of tradition with the excitement of today.
What You’ll Do
- Greet guests with genuine warmth and guide them through our rich menu and cocktail offerings.
- Serve thoughtfully curated dishes—often born from seasonal Irish produce—and cocktails that embody both comfort and creativity .
- Share a bit of The Purty Kitchen’s storied legacy, from its beginnings as a coaching inn in 1728, through to its artisan-driven gastro-pub rebirth .
- Help create memorable moments—whether guests are enjoying a quiet pint, celebrating over a three-course seasonal set menu (like our “Taste of the Season”), or being swept away by live music in The Loft or outdoor dining in The Courtyard .
- Serve with grace during evenings rich with atmosphere—from laid-back weekends to vibrant live-music events.
Who You Are
- Passionate about hospitality, with a heart for storytelling and creating warm, inclusive experiences.
- Familiar with food and drink—particularly seasonal Irish fare, craft beers, thoughtful cocktails, and a restaurant-grade menu served with a pub’s ease .
- Adaptable, attentive, and intuitive—capable of reading the room, anticipating needs, and handling a lively service with poise.
- Thrives in a venue with soul and history—someone who can cheerfully recount how the name “Purty Kitchen” is said to have come from an American visitor exclaiming, “Say Mamm, you sure have a mighty purty kitchen,” and embrace that folklore as part of the guest experience .
