We are looking for someone with great experience working as front of house receptionist to join our team in our clinic- Village Vets @ Ashbourne . We operate to a very high standard of Veterinary Medicine and the practice is fully equipped with excellent surgical, diagnostic, and medical equipment.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented team player who will be leading the front of house team who are the first point of contact for visitors at the clinic and would also have an interest in learning about animal care with the goal of progressing their career.
Responsibilities
- Greet all visitors and welcome them to the clinic.
- Answer and direct phone calls.
- Schedule appointments.
- Checking in patients.
- Collecting payments.
- Maintain records as necessary .
- Manage the receptionist area and assist with admin tasks as needed.
- Assist Vet nurses and Vets with patient care when necessary.
- Undertaking additional tasks as may be assigned.
- Assist in caring for patients and inpatients to the standards upheld by Village Vets.
- Undertake general cleaning throughout the clinic, including equipment and animal quarters.
- Run routine lab work under the direction of the veterinary nurse.
- Be responsible for creating and maintaining an outstanding client experience throughout the whole team.
- Carry out any ad hoc veterinary or administrative duties as required by the head nurse or area manager.
- Undertaking additional tasks as may be assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or relevant work experience.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- 3 or more years of front of house experience.
