Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Passive Fire Protection Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining a range of passive fire protection systems on construction and refurbishment projects, in Munster ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations and standards. As the leading PFP company in Ireland we are expanding our operations to Munster. We aim to reach the highest levels of works and we are seeking to recruit competent and reliable operatives for upcoming projects in 2025 and 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install a variety of passive fire protection systems, including:
- Fire-stopping for service penetrations (batts, mastic, collars, wraps)
- Cavity barriers
- Carry out works in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards
- Interpret and follow technical drawings, RAMS, and fire compartmentation plans.
- Maintain accurate records of all works carried out, including before-and-after photographic evidence uploaded to portal.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Work closely with site management, clients, and inspectors to ensure compliance and resolve any issues.
- Adhere strictly to company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain tools and materials in good condition and keep work areas tidy.
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Proven experience in passive fire protection or similar construction roles
- Knowledge of fire-stopping systems and materials
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and site plans
- Strong understanding of health and safety in construction
- Driving license and willingness to travel between sites no company vehicle provided
- Preparation of Risk Assessment Method Statements
- Ensuring stock levels are high, report of individuals hours to management
Desirable:
- Minimum 2 years of Passive Fire Protection experience
- Driving license and willingness to travel between sites
- References Required
