The Opportunity:
As our Planning and Procurement Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our global supply chain—owning the full planning and procurement cycle and directly shaping how we scale our biotech business. This is a high-impact managerial role where you’ll drive supply chain excellence, safeguard business continuity, and unlock growth opportunities through smart planning, strategic procurement, and seamless cross-functional collaboration.
You’ll be a trusted partner across the organization, combining hands-on execution with the vision to design robust systems, strengthen supplier partnerships, and build scalable processes that power both today’s operations and tomorrow’s expansion.
Key Duties Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Planning
Manage the supply chain planning process, presenting data and insights at regular business reviews with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
Ensure material availability to support production plans, maintaining optimal inventory levels at all times.
Take a managerial role in the SOP process, providing end-to-end analysis, scenario planning, and recommendations to inform business decisions.
Liaise with global counterparts and business leaders, representing the local supply chain organisation with professionalism and authority.
Proactively communicate supply status, highlight risks, and manage resolution to ensure continuity of supply.
Optimise and maintain planning parameters in line with business objectives.
Represent the supply chain function during customer and regulatory audits.
Procurement Supplier Management
Oversee all procurement activities, from order placement to fulfilment and receipt.
Develop, agree, and execute supply plans in collaboration with key partners across the business.
Manage supplier and contract manufacturer relationships, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and delivery against agreed KPIs.
New Product Introduction Projects
Act as supply chain Manager for New Product Introductions, business integrations, and tech transfers, ensuring alignment between demand forecasts and planning systems.
Partner with Project Management to anticipate and address supply/demand conflicts, delivering solutions that balance business priorities.
Own supply chain systems (ERP, QMS, master data), ensuring accurate data and continuous process improvement.
Drive system enhancements and process change projects, securing stakeholder alignment and adoption.
Champion operational excellence and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to optimise processes and systems.
Essential Qualifications
Proven experience in supply chain planning, procurement, or operations within a biotech, pharma, or food ingredients environment.
Ability to build strong internal and external partnerships, ensuring alignment across functions including Commercial, RD, and Finance.
Experience managing cross-functional communication around logistics and planning, ensuring clarity and transparency.
Ability to foster a high-performance culture within the supply chain team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and a customer-first mindset.
Experience running Key Performance Indicators metrics on Supply Chain
Strong knowledge of SOP, demand planning, and supplier management.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to coach and influence colleagues across functions, even outside direct reporting lines, to ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved.
Track record of managing ERP systems and driving process/system improvements.
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels, including executive leadership.
