Job Title: Programme Officer – Sustainability & Social Responsibility
Location: Hybrid (Min. 2 days/week at National Office, Larch Hill, Dublin 16)
Organisation: Scouting Ireland
Salary: €45,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, 2-year fixed term (with potential for extension)
Hours: 35 hours per week, flexibility required (including weekends)
Role Overview:
Join Scouting Ireland’s Programme Team and drive real change through sustainability and social responsibility initiatives. This role is ideal for someone passionate about environmental impact, youth empowerment, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). You’ll co-develop resources and deliver impactful programmes that engage volunteers and youth members alike.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Develop and implement youth programmes aligned with SDGs and DEI.
Design training, workshops, and awareness campaigns.
Support sustainability strategies across Scouting Ireland.
Collaborate with volunteers, partners, and internal teams.
Monitor and evaluate programme impact.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Relevant third-level qualification (e.g. sustainability, education, social sciences).Experience in youth or community programme development.
Strong knowledge of the SDGs and EDI principles.
Excellent facilitation, communication, and collaboration skills.
Strong IT proficiency and full driving licence.
