Job Description
The Quality Advisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout the delivery. Reporting to the Quality Lead, the Quality Advisor is responsible for conducting audits, inspections, and ensuring compliance with the project's quality management plan. The role holder actively participates in internal and external quality audits and perform regular inspection. The Quality Advisor ensures that corrective actions are implemented effectively, and that all necessary quality paperwork is completed and adheres to regulatory standards.
Principal Accountabilities
- Perform regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
- Identify, document, and report non-conformances through Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Monitor the Project(s) quality management plan is fully and correctly implemented.
- Ensuring the delivery of necessary quality paperwork required for each type of works.
- Performing Quality Inductions, Workshop, Quality Circles, Lessons learnt implementation and workshops, Briefings and / or other relevant forums and events to ensure the compliance of the QA management plan.
- Assist the Quality Lead in implementing and maintaining the project's quality management system.
- Review and approve quality-related documentation, including inspection and test plans, method statements, and quality control plans.
- Facilatate training and raise awareness among project staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Communicate with project stakeholders, including contractors and suppliers, to ensure quality requirements are understood and met.
- Track and report on quality performance metrics and trends to the Quality Lead and project management team.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in quality processes and practices and support their implementation.
- Assist the Quality Lead in implementing and maintaining the project's quality management system.
- Assist the Quality Lead in their duties.
- Perform additional tasks, activities or other duties as may be required or assigned as part of the role.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in QA activities.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and industry-specific regulations and codes of practice is essential.
- A proven track record of conducting QA activities in high value metro rail projects or projects of a similar scale / complexity.
- Experience conducting internal and external quality audits, inspections, and managing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Ability to assist in the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Strong ability to communicate with stakeholders, including contractors and suppliers, to ensure quality requirements are understood and met.
- Experience in providing training and raising awareness on quality standards and best practices among project staff.
- A track record of identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in quality processes and practices.
- Proficiency in reviewing and approving quality-related documentation, such as inspection and test plans, method statements, and quality control plans.
- Understanding of safety and compliance requirements specific to metro rail projects or projects of a similar scale / complexity.

- Communicates clearly and effectively with a diverse team of stakeholders, contractors, and project staff, ensuring everyone is aligned on quality standards.
- Collaborates effectively with a large, multidisciplinary team to achieve common quality goals, fostering a cooperative and productive work environment.
- Demonstrates leadership skills by guiding and mentoring team members on quality practices and standards.
- Analyses complex data and quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement in a large-scale project.
- Adapts to changing project requirements and environments, maintaining quality standards despite evolving challenges.
Qualifications
- A level 7/8 bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, quality management, construction management, or a related discipline.
Practicing / Training / Compliance Certification
- Professional certifications, such as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or Six Sigma certifications required
