Title of Post: Research Fellow - Generative AI Safety Re-advertisement
The successful candidate will work as part of a research team focusing on applied research in the areas of quality assurance and safety (e.g., factuality) of generative AI, e.g., Large Language Models (LLMs) and systems depending on them.
This includes:
- Defining research objectives and carrying out substantive, original and significant research which supports research in Lero.
- Developing methods and techniques appropriate to the type of research pursued that add to the intellectual understanding of the field and play a leading role in regional, national/international collaborative research projects.
- Writing up and dissemination of research work for publication.
- Contributing to patents/commercial application (as appropriate).
- Contributing to major research grant applications to support research projects.
- Attracting funding through networking.
- Contributing to institute/department’s research income via funding.
- Possibly co-supervising or be a becoming a member of a supervision panel.
- Supervising a research team.

Salary Scale: €65,889 - €71,796 p.a. pro rata (maximum starting salary €67,800 p.a. pro rata)
