To support this next phase, we are seeking a dynamic and driven Part-Time Sales & Marketing Executive to help us expand our brand visibility, grow our customer base, and elevate our sales performance across all key segments.
Role Overview
The Sales & Marketing Executive will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote Avalon House Hotel across all key segments – weddings, events, accommodation, food & beverage, and group business. This is a hands-on role that requires creativity, initiative, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Sales:
- Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities across weddings, private events, group bookings, corporate clients, and Golden Years packages.
- Manage and respond to incoming sales enquiries.
- Support the conversion of leads into confirmed bookings through timely follow-up, personalised proposals, and guided site visits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, community organisations, event planners, tour operators, and tourism agencies.
- Assist in the preparation and achievement of monthly sales targets and strategic sales goals.
- Represent Avalon House Hotel at relevant trade shows, wedding fairs, and local networking events.
Marketing:
- Support the development and distribution of print marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, menus, and posters.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of promotional activities, in-house events, and wedding showcases.
- Help ensure brand consistency across all customer-facing materials and touchpoints.
- Collaborate with those managing digital marketing (e.g., social media, website, email campaigns) by providing relevant content, offers, or event details when needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a sales and/or marketing role, ideally within hospitality or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Meta Business Suite).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required; experience with CRM and email marketing tools is an advantage.
- Local knowledge of the area, as well as an interest in tourism, weddings, and events, is beneficial.
