Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer, Embedded Software Verification to join our Energy Software Team, part of the Software & Digital Platforms Group (SDP), located at ADI’s Cork office. This is an opportunity to join a growing team that is developing components, software and systems technologies to build and extend the Smart Power Grid.

The successful candidate will be one of a team responsible for verifying software developed for the Smart Power Grid, including firmware, APIs, tools and services. This position is part of a diverse, cross-functional, geo-distributed team developing and supporting products for our global customers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Understand various power and metrology standards that apply to the Smart Power Grid.
• Identify opportunities for test automation and implement appropriate tools and frameworks.
• Develop and execute tests. Analyze results to identify defects and issues.
• Check quality of software releases and verify/sign-off against acceptance criteria.
• Prepare test reports, summarizing test results, findings, and recommendations.
• Provide feedback to developers on identified issues and areas for improvement.
• Use software industry best practices and tools.
• Ensure the quality and reliability of software releases through rigorous verification processes.

Minimum Qualifications/skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 5+ years of industry experience in embedded systems or software testing.
• Minimum 3 years hands on experience in developing test code for software systems using Python and PyTest.
• Hands on experience with CI/CD tool environments such as Jenkins.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working Knowledge of Signal Processing concepts such as Filters, Fast Fourier Transforms, Harmonic Distortion, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of energy metering, high power/high voltage power conversion, energy storage, transmission and distribution systems.
• Experience in software development with C/C++.
• Experience with Agile workflows such as Scrum or Kanban.
