The Role & What You Will Be Doing
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Inventory Manager to join the Global Inventory team of a leading pharmaceutical company on a 12-month contract.
As part of this fast paced, high-impact team, you will play a key leadership role in influencing change in inventory management - collaborating with teams in Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance and Treasury to drive improvements. Leveraging expertise SAP, RapidResponse and SIOP processes, you will help align operational execution with strategic goals, supporting the business in making faster, data-driven decisions.

Inventory Planning & Management
Develop and manage global inventory budgets and rolling forecasts
Drive inventory optimisation strategies to improve turns and reduce risk/excess/obsolete inventory
Ensure alignment of inventory planning with demand forecasts and supply constraints
Working Capital Optimisation
Lead initiatives to improve working capital performance through efficient inventory management at market and regional level
Monitor KPIs (Days Inventory Outstanding, Inventory Turns) and deliver actionable insights
Cross-functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Supply Chain, Finance, Treasury, Procurement, Commercial and Operations teams to understand drivers of inventory variability
Facilitate alignment and decision-making across regional and functional teams
Root Cause Analysis & Issue Resolution
Investigate deviations from inventory plans and drive corrective actions
Lead deep-dive analysis into stock imbalances, slow-moving inventory and forecast inaccuracies
Lead reconciliation and analyses of financial and supply chain bookings
Predictive/Prescriptive Analytics & Risk Management
Develop and implement predictive models to identify future risks and opportunities in inventory
Utilise advanced analytics to simulate scenarios and guide inventory-related decisions
Process & System Improvement
Champion system and process improvements related to inventory visibility, analytics and reporting – deliver dashboards
Support digital transformation initiatives, including AI/ML inventory tools and ERP enhancements
About Your Skills & Experience
For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
Proven experience in supply chain management
Inventory planning experience at global or regional level
Bachelors degree or equivalent
Supply Chain qualification is beneficial
Extensive advanced planning system and SAP ERP experience are essential for this role
Analytical, problem-solver and continuous improvement mindset are essential
Self-motivated and capable of making well informed decisions
Power BI experience is beneficial
Microsoft Office essential, excel, powerpoint

Proven track record of positively influencing at a senior level
Demonstrated ability to perform in an environment where flexibility and agility are key
Resilience and determination to enable the delivery of exceptional business process performance
