What you'll do
- Develop scalable Python applications and services for our core analytics and NLP capabilities
- Design and implement ML pipelines using Word2Vec, gensim, scikit-learn and traditional algorithms
- Build NLP processing systems using SpaCy and NLTK for conversation analysis and sentiment analysis
- Create and optimise data processing workflows for large-scale datasets
- Integrate machine learning models into production systems with reliable deployment
- Implement advanced NLP techniques including BERT-based models for text classification
- Write comprehensive unit tests and conduct code reviews
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions
What are we looking for
Required
- 5+ years of professional Python development experience building production applications
- Strong NLP background with hands-on SpaCy, NLTK and gensim experience
- Proven experience with ML techniques: Word2Vec, TF-IDF, clustering and scikit-learn
- Proficiency with Python ML libraries: pandas, numpy and matplotlib
- Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
- Familiarity with RESTful API development and microservices architecture
- Understanding of software engineering best practices including Git and CI/CD
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Excellent written, spoken and interpersonal communication skills
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, Computational Linguistics or equivalent experience
Nice to have
- Knowledge of AWS services and cloud deployment patterns
- Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras)
- Familiarity with transformer models and BERT implementations
- Experience with Go or other backend programming languages
- Knowledge of contact centre operations or customer service analytics
