We are looking for a highly capable and detail-oriented Site Surveyor to join our team in Kerry.
Responsibilities:
Perform accurate setting out of critical structural features such as bases, grids, walls, frames, and anchor bolts in accordance with technical drawings and digital models.
Carry out detailed topographical and site condition surveys to inform construction planning.
Use a variety of precision instruments, including total stations, GNSS/GPS, digital levels, and 3D laser scanners to gather and set site data.
Interpret construction drawings, models (including BIM), and specifications to extract coordinates and control data.
Maintain and update site control networks, benchmarks, and grid lines, ensuring accuracy is preserved throughout the project.
Produce as-built surveys, verify constructed works, and generate reports to validate compliance with design intent.
Collaborate with design and construction teams to resolve discrepancies and recommend corrective actions where needed.
Keep comprehensive records, including survey logs, setting-out reports, and updated site drawings.
Ensure all surveying and layout tasks meet health & safety requirements and project quality standards.
Requirements:
Education: Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Land Surveying, or a related discipline.
Experience: Demonstrated experience in structural setting out on live construction or infrastructure projects.
Technical Skills: Competent in the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Leica Captivate, or similar surveying and CAD platforms.
Solid understanding of construction tolerances, coordinate systems, and datum transformation.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise confidently with engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors.
Strong organisational skills with a proactive approach to managing on-site tasks.
Capable of working independently while contributing effectively to team objectives.
