Zona Dance Company is a vibrant and creative dance studio committed to excellence in performance, education, and community engagement. We are seeking an organised, friendly, and tech-savvy Administrative Assistant to serve as the welcoming face of our studio and manage both customer service and digital marketing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Administrative Duties
- Serve as the first point of contact for dancers, parents, and visitors, offering information and support with warmth and professionalism.
- Maintain a welcoming and organised front-of-house environment.
- Process class payments and manage basic financial records.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the reception and studio areas, includingrestocking and tidying bathrooms.
- Respond to emails, phone inquiries, and messages promptly.
- Support the studio team with administrative tasks and scheduling.
- Guide new students through registration and class selection.
- Assist in planning and running studio events, including managing ticket sales, logistics,and communications.
Social Media & Marketing Duties
- Manage ZoNa Dance Company’s presence on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Develop and implement a weekly content strategy (minimum 4–5 posts per week).
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging and relevant content across platforms.
- Capture, edit, and organise digital content (photos, videos) and maintain cloud-basedarchives.
- Create basic visual assets for promotions and marketing campaigns.
- Monitor social media engagement and adapt content strategies accordingly.
- Coordinate local advertising, including print materials (flyers/posters) and community outreach.
- Handle outgoing communications to students, parents, and staff via email and newsletters.
Show Season Support
- Assist with all aspects of performance planning, including costumes, music collection, and program design.
- Support promotional efforts through artwork and media content.
- Coordinate ticket sales and backstage logistics.
- Ensure smooth event execution by managing essential show needs and maintainingbackstage order.
Qualifications & Key Skills
- Previous experience in administration, customer service, or social media marketing is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a welcoming and professional demeanor.
- Key Skills:
- Social Media Management (Meta Business Suite, Instagram, TikTok)
- Social Media Content Creation (video/photo editing, captions, trends)
- Canva or similar design tools
- Customer service and email communication
- File management and basic record-keeping
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong computer literacy, including confidence with email platforms, cloud-based file systems, and essential software such as Word, Excel, and Canva. Exceptional time management and organisational skills are essential, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain order in both digital and physical files. The role requires someone who can work efficiently under pressure while keeping the studio’s administrative systems running smoothly and accurately.
