We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Trainee/Apprentice Baker to join our team and learn the craft of professional baking. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, mixing, kneading, shaping, and baking of bread, pastries, and other baked goods
- Learn to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistent product quality
- Weigh and measure ingredients with precision
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and bakery areas
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Participate in daily opening and closing procedures
- Receive and store deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation
- Work closely with the baking team and take direction from senior bakers and the bakery chargehand
- Maintain a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and improve
Requirements:
- No prior baking experience required—training will be provided
- A genuine interest in baking and a desire to pursue a career in the bakery industry
- Good time management skills and attention to detail
- Physically able to stand for long periods and lift heavy ingredients or equipment when needed
- Punctual, reliable, and willing to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays if required
- Strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and a team-oriented mindset
