We are currently looking for a Trainee FP&A Analyst. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic finance function overseeing European operations, which currently span the UK and Czech Republic. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a career in financial planning and analysis. You will support the team in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, helping drive strategic decision-making through data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect and analyse data from multiple ERP systems. Provide in-depth financial analysis, identifying trends, variances, and key insights to support strategic decision-making. Prepare detailed reports and presentations (e.g., PowerPoints) for senior management.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in developing annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic growth goals
- Financial Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls across the European operations. Handle complex intercompany analysis involving multiple jurisdictions.
- Collaboration with Global Teams: Liaise with international teams in the US and Europe to ensure alignment in financial reporting and support the growth of the European business.
- Support Month End and Year end processes: Assist the Finance team with month end and year end closing processes across multiple ERP systems with multiple currencies.
- Liaise with Operational and Site managers: Communicate with area and site managers to gather site data and variances.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and improvement of financial processes and tools to increase efficiency.
Requirements:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field (or currently pursuing)
- Strong group reporting experience is essential, including FP&A and reporting up to senior management.
- Ability to manage multiple systems and work across various jurisdictions.
- Must be highly motivated and driven
- Ability to travel occasionally within Europe (minimal travel expected).
- Strong Excel and financial systems skills.
