KNOW THE ROLE

  • Expected to take an active interest in the business, brand, and products, to continuously keep up to date with all relevant changes and communicate with our Guests / Customers about our Company

  • To help the store drive sales and achieve quarterly sales targets by maintaining a high level of customer service

  • Welcome guests with a friendly approach and demonstrate the highest levels of customer service. Resolve customer issues and concerns

  • Use effective selling techniques to build sales and achieve sales targets

  • Ability to help process deliveries in-store, in line with the company’s health and safety policy

  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness and good housekeeping on the sales floor and in stockroom areas

  • Develop and build knowledge of the store, and company stocks through the store management team

  • Maintain store standards regarding pricing, ticketing & current promotions

  • Adhere to all store procedures from the shop manual, including Health & Safety & Compliance

  • Merchandise goods in line with company guidelines

  • Complete other tasks and projects as requested

  • Regularly complete E-learning courses using the company E-learning portal

Sales Skills

  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets

  • Skilled in upselling and cross-selling complementary products (e.g., cutlery, glassware, dining accessories)


Product Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of premium tableware, porcelain, and lifestyle products

  • Ability to explain features, care instructions, and heritage of the brand confidently


Visual Merchandising Awareness

  • Maintain attractive displays to showcase products effectively

  • Ensure the shop floor reflects luxury brand standards


Operational Competence

  • Handling point-of-sale systems accurately

  • Managing stock, replenishment, and assisting with inventory checks


Professionalism & Presentation

  • Impeccable grooming and adherence to Brown Thomas dress code

  • Punctual, reliable, and adaptable to a fast-paced retail environment


Desired Experience (Preferred but Not Essential)

  • Luxury Retail Background: Prior experience in a premium or high-end retail setting (homeware, lifestyle, or fashion)

  • Hospitality or Tableware Knowledge: Familiarity with dining etiquette and the art of table setting. Understanding of seasonal trends in dining and entertaining

  • CRM & Clienteling Skills: Ability to build long-term relationships with customers. Experience using customer databases for follow-ups and loyalty programs

  • Language Skills: Additional languages (e.g., French, German, Mandarin) for international clientele

  • Passion for Interior Design & Lifestyle: Genuine enthusiasm for home décor, entertaining, and luxury living
