About Youth New Ross
Youth New Ross has been supporting children, young people & families since 1994. Youth New Ross (YNR) was founded in 1994 by a group of dedicated professionals for the benefit of young people, and their families in New Ross and the surrounding area. In this time YNR has grown and continues to be led by local people working for the community, providing a range of youth and family services in partnership with other services and with the support of volunteers.
YNR employs a team of professional Youth and Family support staff to deliver our services through our three Projects: The Family Project, The Youth Project and the Treoin Youth Diversion Project.
About the Role:
YNR have a new vacancy for a part time experienced Accounts Technician / Assistant for to join their vibrant team as we comply with our Charities regulation requirements. At YNR our projects are heavily funded through key external stakeholders, so the role requires a complete understanding of the grants / funding model for Irish Charities. It is essential for this role that our audits and external audits are completed to the highest of standards required to reflect the transparency of the projects we deliver at YNR. The role requires full transparency on the preparation of Reports on Finances, managing assets register and ensuring financial controls are followed. The role has a requirement to have full competency in SORP and Sage.
The Person
It is absolutely essential that the person who will be the ideal fit for this role is capable of working in a sensitive environment and is used to working in a discreet and confidential manner. Past experience working in a similar environment would be of an added advantage. The person will need to be self-motivating and able to work on their own initiative. You will be reporting to the CEO where you will work closely on budgets and planning. You must be capable to communicate any issues and propose appropriate solutions to key stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills for the Role
· Fully qualified Accounts Technician
· Proven financial/accounting experience - minimum 3 years
· Strong computer and analytical skills and proficiency in using Microsoft and Sage accounting.
· Payroll experience desirable.
- Effective communicator in both verbal and written communications.
- Structured, analytical, systematic, and independent way of working.
- Ability to prioritise parallel tasks, identify potential roadblocks and initiate appropriate counter measures.
Salary: €18K for 2.5 days with 18 hours deliverable weekly
