Join Our Launch Team – Assistant Bar Manager (New Venue Opening)
The newly redeveloped Fox & Hounds in Ballyvolane, Cork is getting ready to open its doors – and we’re building a strong leadership team to set the tone from day one. We’re now hiring an Assistant Bar Manager to help lead front-of-house operations in our stylish, over-21s venue.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role at a brand-new bar with big plans, including the introduction of food service in the coming months.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Bar Manager in the day-to-day running of the venue
- Supervise and lead the bar team during service
- Deliver and maintain high standards of customer service
- Train and support new and existing staff
- Monitor and maintain stock levels and bar hygiene
- Assist with planning events, promotions, and food service rollout
- Step into the Duty Manager role when required
- Ensure licensing, safety, and cleanliness standards are met
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a bar supervisory or assistant management role
- Strong team leadership and organisational skills
- Confident dealing with customers, team members, and high-pressure situations
- Familiarity with stock control and cash handling
- Flexible availability – must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- A positive, can-do attitude and ambition to grow
