The Rochestown Park Hotel, Cork is currently seeking an ambitious, dynamic & self-motivated Assistant Front Office Manager to join its Front Office Management Team.

Days of Work - 5/7 (Shift Patterns - 7am-3pm / 1-9pm/3pm -11pm)
Role:
Working in conjunction with the Front Office Manager - the role of the Assistant Front Office Manager is to oversee & assist in the supervision and smooth running of the Hotel Reception department whilst on duty and to maintain the agreed standards of Customer Care and Service.
Some Key Duties
* To ensure that guests are greeted, checked in and allocated rooms in a prompt and courteous manner.
* To ensure that check-in procedures are strictly adhered to and that the correct address and charge details are obtained from each guest.
* To be readily available at all times to deal with problems or complaints.
* To coordinate with the Accommodation Manager / Assistant Accommodation Manager to ensure that rooms have been serviced and maintained to the standards agreed
* To ensure maximum room occupancy within agreed overbooking policy.
* To ensure that Room Reservations are taken correctly and courteously by Reception team members outside of Reservation Office hours
* To ensure effective liaison between Revenue, Reservations and Reception team members whilst on duty
* To assist the Front Office Manager with all aspects of managing the Hotel Reception department.
* To use all methods available to you to raise the company profile and ranking on on-line Hotel review websites such as Trip Advisor.
* To help review all comments recorded on on-line Hotel review sites and to help liaise with the Operations Manager in relation to solutions and feedback.
* To implement departmental SOP’s and to monitor, record & conduct reviews.
* To liaise on a daily / weekly basis with the Revenue Manager and be aware of the days business both in room occupancy, special requirements and VIP needs.
* To work in conjunction with the Revenue Manager & Front Office Manager in achieving budgeted occupancy, budgeted annual rate and budgeted room revenues.
* To increase customer satisfaction by formulating a plan to ensure customer information is inputted accurately in to the Opera system and is used effectively in allocating rooms, rate codes, updating profiles etc.
* To work in conjunction with your team & the Revenue office in relation to ideas for generating revenue and to implement and monitor as necessary.
* To assist with then responsibility for providing / organising emergency shift cover due to unexpected illness or absenteeism.
* To assist in the preparation of rosters for your department in advance taking in to account the business demands and to ensure that sufficient cover is available to meet those needs and taking in to account the business demands and requests for time off / holidays.
* To check all work given to Front Office staff throughout the day to ensure agreed standards are being adhered to especially in terms of Banqueting Menus, Table Plans etc
* To attend departmental & HOD meetings.
