Job Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on and guest-focused professional who thrives in a high-volume restaurant environment. You will support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, leading the front-of-house team, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience at all times
About The Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Restaurant Manager in the day-to-day running of all front-of-house operations.
- Lead, train, and motivate a large team of floor staff and supervisors to deliver excellent customer service.
- Ensure all service standards, health & safety regulations, and hygiene protocols are adhered to.
- Assist with rotas, staff management, and floor coverage to meet business needs.
- Manage guest satisfaction and resolve any issues quickly and professionally.
- Oversee shift briefings and ensure smooth handovers between teams.
- Maintain excellent communication with kitchen, bar, and management teams.
- Drive upselling initiatives and revenue opportunities while maintaining high service quality.
- Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering and stock control when required.
- Deputise in the Restaurant Manager’s absence.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role in a high-volume restaurant.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- A hands-on, lead-from-the-front approach with strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of cash handling and POS systems desirable.
- A passion for hospitality and consistently delivering a great guest experience.
