The Team This is an exciting opportunity to join - and help to shape - TikTok's Europe Content & Safety Compliance team. This second line of defence team is a dynamic and collaborative group of legal and compliance professionals who provide strategic compliance assessment, monitoring, reporting and advice across diverse areas of TikTok's business. The team works closely with global cross-functional partners and their management teams to address content safety risk management and compliance challenges, enabling the company to achieve its business objectives while maintaining the highest ethical and compliance standards. The Role This role will lead TikTok Europe's content and safety external audit and internal incident management work, reporting to the Head of Content & Safety Compliance. The team's work is highly visible internally and externally. It will appeal to those who wish to be pioneers in advising on audit and operational compliance best practices within the evolving safety and content regulatory compliance space. Responsibilites - Lead the day-to-day management of organising and supervising TikTok's content and safety compliance external audits in Europe. - Inform and strategically advise management and employees about TikTok's external audit and associated compliance obligations, including support to global teams on auditor interactions. - In collaboration with the wider content & safety compliance function and TikTok's global teams, advise and support monitoring of all audit related continual enhancements. - Promote robust audit and incident management accountability and ownership across global teams to support effective and efficient audit and internal assessment review cycles. - Provide collaborative leadership across the team and wider business on continual assessment and enhancement of audit readiness and internal compliance assessment governance frameworks and related policies and procedures. - Develop tailored audit and incident management training for management and globally based teams. - Lead the continual enhancement of TikTok's comprehensive content and safety compliance external audit programme. - Lead the continual enhancement of the content and safety compliance incident management framework and championing best practice assessment processes across first line teams. - Advise, track and report on implementation measures performed by first line business teams to drive continual enhancements to our internal control environment. - Support engagements with key external stakeholders, as a thought leader and strategic advisor, regarding audit and incident management principles, challenges and emerging issues. - Maintain an independent mindset and effectively challenge where necessary to achieve a robust second line of defence. - Advocate risk and compliance, champion a positive risk culture and help provide an appropriate ‘tone from the top’ on risk and compliance matters.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree and professional qualification in compliance, accounting/audit or similar discipline. Extensive experience in audit and incident management, with 5+ in a regulated entity/environment. - Good knowledge of content and safety compliance legislative landscape, or extensive parallel experience working within a regulated industry. - A track record of auditing and / or building and maintaining assurance frameworks and managing related executive engagements. - Experience building trust with regulators, external auditors and across dynamic working relationships with globally based business teams. - Proactive self-starter, with the ability and willingness to take a lead on novel and complex regulatory compliance audit requirements. - Previous team management experience. Be a team player, be adaptable and demonstrate a capacity to influence teams to operate to the highest ethical standards. - Have outstanding communication and project management skills that allow you to interact with a wide variety of individuals. Preferred Qualifications - Previous experience within a similar platform environment.
