Position Summary
The Barman is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized bar environment. They play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and delivering a memorable experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and serve customers in a friendly, professional manner.
- Prepare, mix, and serve drinks according to standard recipes or customer requests.
- Recommend drinks and provide information about menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, utensils, and glassware.
- Monitor and restock bar inventory and supplies.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
- Check customer identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
- Manage bar opening and closing procedures.
- Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barman, bartender, or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of cocktails, wines, beers, and other beverages.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift and carry beverage crates and kegs.
Reports to: Bar Manager or Restaurant Manager
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: €13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
