Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeping & Payroll Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a small bookkeeping practice, be proficient in Irish payroll and VAT submission processes, and be comfortable using various accounting and payroll software. Strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients across different industries.
- Process payroll and ensure timely and accurate submissions to Revenue.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with Irish tax regulations.
- Reconcile bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Handle client queries efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain accurate financial records and reports.
- Work with different accounting and payroll software, ensuring seamless data management.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
Key Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years working in an Irish bookkeeping and payroll environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in bookkeeping and payroll software (such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Thesaurus, BrightPay, etc.).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of Irish tax and payroll regulations, including VAT, PAYE, PRSI, USC, and RCT.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and thoroughness in financial tasks.
- Multi-Tasking Ability: Comfortable handling multiple clients and deadlines.
- Team Player: Ability to work independently while also contributing to a small team environment.
