Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed surveys of residential properties to assess suitability for smart energy solutions (e.g., solar panels, heat pumps, insulation, EV chargers).
Identify structural or technical issues that may impact installation or performance of energy systems.
Prepare condition reports, retrofit plans, and compliance documentation.
Liaise with homeowners, contractors, and energy consultants to ensure smooth project delivery.
Ensure all works comply with building regulations, health and safety standards, and energy efficiency guidelines (e.g., SEAI, BER).
Support the design and implementation of retrofit solutions tailored to each property.
Monitor project progress and conduct post-installation inspections to verify quality and performance.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement of survey and installation processes.

Due to continued growth and an increase in available contracts, we are very pleased to be resourcing a Building Surveyor for our Smart Energy Services business unit.
This role will be based in the Limerick covering parts of Munster. Please note that travel is an essential component of this role. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company, working as part of a dynamic team

- Experience in an industry related field would be beneficial but experience will also be taken in account.
- Experience in residential surveying, preferably with energy retrofit or smart home projects.
- Familiarity with energy efficiency standards, building regulations, and retrofit technologies.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in surveying tools and digital reporting platforms.
- Full driving license and willingness to travel to residential sites.
- Knowledge of SEAI schemes, BER assessments, or similar energy frameworks.
- Experience with smart home systems or renewable energy installations.
- Retrofit Coordination is a plus.
Skills
- Project management or stakeholder coordination experience.
- Experience in dealing with customers.
- Managing People / customer queries.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to work within a team
- Excellent Communication, Interpersonal & Organisational Skills
