Job Description
We are seeking a driven Business Development Executive to join our growing Medical Device division. You will play a key role in developing new business opportunities, managing strategic accounts, and expanding our market presence in Ireland for medical device testing, consultancy, and packaging services.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the medical device sector in the Irish market.
- Manage and grow existing client accounts, building strong, long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored testing and consultancy solutions.
- Support strategic business planning through market insights and client feedback.
- Contribute to the development of proposals and commercial agreements (with support from senior management and legal).
- Use CRM tools to document and track sales activities, leads, and client interactions.
- Participate in relevant industry events, conferences, and client meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s in Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry or related field).
- 3+ years' experience in sales or business development in the medical device, biotech, or pharma sector.
- Strong understanding of medical device regulations (ISO, GLP).
- Experience in managing client relationships and driving business growth.
- Excellent communication and networking skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.
Additional Information
A large part of the work of the role involves interaction with all functions within Eurofins BPT Laboratories as well as with clients. This will include planned regular team meetings, client meetings as well as ad hoc discussions across the business. For this reason, the person performing this role will need to be available at the Ireland site as required by clients / internal meetings.
There is likely to be a significant amount of time required to be spent at or travelling to client’s sites across the territory (and occasionally beyond) consequently the job holder must be prepared to travel and this will involve nights away from home, it is anticipated that a minimum of 50% travel time is required per week.
