Abbott Diabetes Care has opened a new site, in Kilkenny, that is at the forefront of Diabetes care with the latest technology, to manufacture FreeStyle blood glucose test strips and FreeStyle Sensors for use in diabetes management. Among Abbott Diabetes Care leading brands are the FreeStyle Precision, FreeStyle Lite and FreeStyle Libre systems.
Main Purpose of the role
In this role you will be as part of the Business Excellence team. The position is responsible for implementing the implementation of Business Excellence and Business Intelligence principles and practises across the site through internal and external collaborations, delivering high impact sustainable business results.
You will require capacity to apply skills/knowledge within the context of specific needs or requirements.
Main Responsibilities
• As the Experienced professional in the Pharmaceutical/Biological Process Sub-Function, possesses well developed skills in implementing and maintaining pharmaceutical/biological processes.
• Calculates and organizes all data for complex process flow sheets including instrumentation and control considerations.
• Models processes and units operations.
• Ensures proper sequence of operation and prepares specifications and operating instructions for processing equipment.
• Conducts tests and measurements throughout stages of production to determine control over such variables as temperature, density, pressure and viscosity.
• Services, troubleshoots, and solves engineering problems with processes or equipment already in operation.
• Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
• May be responsible for corrective and preventive actions and investigation management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Degree in engineering, science, operations management, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role/environment.
• Champion engaged high performing teams through the Mindful Leader principles where respectful challenge is embraced in pursuit of collaborative outcomes.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully leading and managing business excellence initiatives.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
