Your role
Aer Lingus seeks a People Operations Excellence Partner to drive operational excellence across HR service delivery. You'll enhance processes, implement technology solutions, and improve service quality through data-driven approaches. This role offers the opportunity to shape HR's future at Aer Lingus while contributing to our significant HR transformation journey over the next 12-24 months as we transition to new technologies and service delivery models.”
Your responsibilities as a People Operations Excellence Partner will include:
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and implement frameworks for assessing & prioritising service improvement opportunities.
- Lead BAU process improvements identified & prioritised through application of decision frameworks & stakeholder input.
- Create & maintain detailed process & operational documentation, contributing to the development of a robust knowledge repository.
- Analyse performance metrics to identify trends & opportunities for service enhancement.
- Partner with stakeholders to drive change management for process improvements.
Stakeholder Management & Influence
- Build and maintain relationships across internal stakeholders including People team, Finance, CDTO, & key business leaders.
- Develop business cases & recommendations for service improvements, articulating value & ROI.
- Influence senior stakeholders when improvement opportunities are challenged or deprioritised.
- Navigate competing priorities across BAU improvements & transformation initiatives.
Process & Service Design
- Map current state processes and identify opportunities for streamlining and automation.
- Design future state processes aligned with new service delivery models & technology capabilities.
- Establish metrics & KPIs to measure improvement success & service quality.
- Support knowledge transfer planning to prevent service disruption during changes.
Current Transformation Support (During 2025-2026 HR Transformation Programme)
- During our current transformation period, represent operational perspectives in HRIS design workshops, focusing on key process areas such as Service Delivery and Core HR.
- Provide operational expertise to support the selection process and implementation of new HR service delivery partners.
- Advocate for operational requirements during technology implementation to ensure future-state processes align with service delivery needs and operational excellence principles.
- Collaborate with transformation teams to identify dependencies and mitigate operational risks during the transition period.
Your qualifications and key criteria
- 3rd level qualification in Human Resources, Business, Operations Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in HR operations, process improvement, or operational excellence roles.
- Proven track record in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent).
- Experience with process mapping tools and knowledge management systems.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights and improvement recommendations.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with proven ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
- Experience building frameworks and methodologies to guide decision-making and prioritisation.
- Ability to operate effectively in a changing environment with competing priorities.
- Strong business acumen with ability to assess cost-benefit and ROI of improvement initiatives.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with others.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Eligible to live and work in the EU.
- Current unrestricted worldwide passport.
- Able to pass a 5-year security background check*(or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in Dublin).

Desirable criteria
Experience with HRIS systems (SAP SuccessFactors, ServiceNow, or similar platforms).
Knowledge of HR service delivery models and best practices.
Previous experience supporting or participating in transformation initiatives within HR or similar functions.
Experience with change management principles and implementation.
Project management experience or certification.
