The Team

The IT infrastructure team is responsible for the design, delivery and maintenance of IT platforms to support critical corporate, market and power systems business needs. The scope of the function includes the management and maintenance of servers, storage, database, email, networks, telecommunications systems and security solutions in line with corporate strategies. Solutions are deployed both in-house and externally and are provided in the most cost-effective manner.

The Opportunity

The Vulnerability Management team is responsible for the organisations Vulnerability Management, planning and implementation of the vulnerability schedule. A particular focus of this team is to ensure the reporting and risk management of vulnerabilities within the IT estate. Removing vulnerabilities continuously and managing to a plan for this is a key role within the group.

The Vulnerability Management Team Lead will lead a team of technical resources dedicated to reducing EirGrids risk exposure due to vulnerabilities within our systems.

The team are responsible for the technical and operational governance of third-party suppliers who we procure systems and Data Centre Services from (Co-Location). The Vulnerability Management Team Lead is accountable for the Common Vulnerability Score System (CVSS) and all associated reporting. A monthly exec report guiding EirGrids executive in the reporting of our efforts.

About You
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, technology management or other relevant degree
  • Significant experience of leading in a technical IT environment with experience in Vulnerability Management and Risk Reporting
  • Extensive experience in managing third party suppliers
  • Ability to lead and influence others to move towards a common vision or goal and able to work collaboratively with and through others
  • Experience of constructing, leading and managing projects with a strong focus on delivery
  • A tenacity to drive excellence and quality in all aspects of their areas of responsibility, identifying and embracing best practice
  • Confident operating and managing in an environment of change
  • Strong customer and service delivery focus; demonstrating a thorough understanding of the customer needs
