Job description

Sherpa Kids provides Before School Care, After school and Holiday Childcare to children in the areas of Cork during term time and non-term time (school holidays).

• Start Date: 25 August 2025 to allow for adequate training, reference checks and garda vetting.
• Job Types: Permanent
• Salary: Starting from €14.76 p/h
• Locations: Ballingcollig
• Hours: Onsite in the after school 1- 6pm
• Position- Programme Assistant

Duties include:

• Supervise children during activities and free play
• Assist with homework and educational tasks
• Engaging in a variety of planned activities (both indoor and outdoor) with the children each day.
• Lots of energy and enthusiasm to work with children.
• Assist with games, crafts, and group activities
• Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment

Requirements:

• Experience working with School Aged children (Minimum 1 Year)
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
• Garda vetting is essential (completed by us after interview stage).
• Work Permit/ VISA essential (for more than 20 hours a week)
• At least 2 written references checks are required before starting.
• Own car required
• 2 written references checks required before starting.
