Managing all FOH and BOH staff and all aspects of bar/restaurant operations and service; to ensure the delivery of utmost customer and staff satisfaction using the necessary means and tools available and by being an example at all times. Ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines, and that the correct information is received and distributed by all parties involved internally and externally.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure implementation and adherence to all opening, handing over and closing procedures as per training and available checklists
- Manage preparation of bar & restaurant for service daily
- Be actively on the floor during service hours, carry out on spot training, briefings and debriefings as necessary
- Monitor and maintain excellent standards of service at all times
- Ensure the responsible service of Alcohol policies are implemented and maintained
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction at all times, handling complaints according to guidelines and in a professional and calm manner
- Conduct induction and on the job trainings as required for bar & floor staff
- Ensure that all floor staff receive a training plan, record same promptly and accurately.
- Conduct ongoing product knowledge and sales training with staff to maximize sales and increase average spend
- Ensure that all health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times by all members of staff

Requirements:
- At least 2 years’ experience as assistant manager or similar
- Enthusiastic, approachable and have an honest character; ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to multi-task is essential
- Working knowledge of alcoholic beverages & food service
- Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts
- Fluent spoken & written English are essential; excellent communication skills are required
