Optilase is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Clinic Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Cork clinic, based on Opera Lane. This is a key leadership role reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
Role Overview:
The Clinic Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the clinic. This includes overseeing staff, managing schedules, meeting operational targets, and ensuring high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily clinic operations to ensure an efficient and professional environment
- Allocate appointments effectively using Optometrist and Surgeon diaries
- Delegate tasks to staff and ensure completion of all duties
- Schedule surgeries and coordinate with Surgeons and the Surgery Manager
- Plan and manage clinic scheduling, training, and maintenance
- Work closely with other clinic managers and the Call Centre to ensure consistency in the patient experience
- Liaise with the Marketing team to support social media content and clinic visibility
- Recruit, train, and manage clinic staff according to business needs
- Monitor and report on operational targets and KPIs on a regular basis
- Collect and respond to patient feedback to continuously improve service
- Manage staff rosters, holidays, and clinic cash handling procedures
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety policies and regulatory standards
- Lead and motivate the team to maintain a positive and results-driven clinic culture
- Handle additional duties as required to support clinic performance
Requirements:
- Previous management experience is essential
- Experience in healthcare or sales is preferred
- Strong leadership and delegation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise, problem-solve, and manage time effectively
- Confident in leading a team and working independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible
