CNC Machinist / Toolmaker

Responsibilities:

Utilize CAD/CAM software, to develop and modify tooling designs, machine programs, and manufacturing processes.

Set up and operate CNC milling machines, specializing in 5-axis and 3-axis machining, to produce precision components according to specifications.

Interpret technical drawings and work instructions to determine machining requirements and dimensions.

Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize tooling designs for manufacturability and efficiency.

Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs as necessary to ensure optimal machine performance.

Monitor production processes to maintain quality standards and make necessary adjustments to machine settings as needed.

Conduct thorough inspections of finished products using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, including machine logs, tooling records, and inspection reports.

Stay up to date with advancements in machining technology and techniques, and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Toolmaker/CNC Machinist, with a strong focus on CNC milling operations.

Proficiency in CAD/CAM software,for tooling design and machine programming.

Experience operating 5-axis and 3-axis CNC milling machines..

Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling concepts, and precision measurement techniques.

Knowledge of Wire EDM, grinding, and mill turn machines is highly advantageous.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.

Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Good communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Flexibility to work flexible hours and shifts, as well as the ability to adapt to changing production demands.
