As we expand our footprint in the Irish public sector, we’re looking for a highly skilled Commercial Manager to work closely with the MD Commercial on the activation of our UK&I GTM Strategy and overall company growth.
The Role
We are seeking an ambitious and commercially focused Commercial Manager, with experience in professional services or technology sales, who brings a proven track record of developing pipeline, closing deals and growing client accounts. This is a strategic role responsible for driving new business, deepening existing client relationships and helping to shape our go-to-market success. You will play a pivotal role in expanding Nucleo’s B2B client base across Ireland and the UK. You will have the opportunity to shape how we target new business, how our BDM capability grows and expand our client base, and will get to work closely with our technical pre-sales and delivery teams to ensure the highest quality service. This role will work closely with our Divisional Directors across Enterprise Solutions, Data & AI and Change Delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Support the MD on the development and implementation of Nucleo’s commercial strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives across service lines and sectors.
- Activate go-to-market plans, value propositions and pricing models tailored to industry verticals.
- Own quarterly and annual revenue targets, including new logo acquisition and account expansion.
- Partner with marketing, delivery and Divisional Directors to align campaign focus, demand generation and bid strategies.
- Monitor market trends, client behavior and competitor activity to adjust tactics and improve win rates.
Business Development
- Drive pipeline generation through proactive and structured business development initiatives.
- Leverage personal network, sector knowledge and outreach campaigns to identify high-value leads.
- Build and qualify a robust opportunity pipeline, moving leads efficiently through the sales funnel.
- Coordinate with Divisional Directors to shape client propositions, respond to RFPs and present proposals.
- Represent Nucleo at industry events and through thought leadership to elevate brand visibility and attract new business.
Client Engagement & Growth
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients and support long-term account development and satisfaction.
- Lead strategic account planning sessions to uncover cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
- Regularly meet with clients to understand evolving needs, resolve issues and ensure value delivery.
Partnership & Ecosystem Management:
- Identify and nurture partnerships with technology vendors, platforms, and solution providers relevant to Nucleo’s offering (e.g. Microsoft, UiPath, AWS, etc.).
Team Enablement & Collaboration:
- Support the commercial development of junior team members and collaborate closely with Divisional Directors, delivery teams and marketing to drive consistent messaging and execution.
CRM & Reporting:
- Ensure all commercial activity is captured and measured using CRM and sales tools. Report pipeline metrics, forecasts and win rates to the senior leadership team.
Market Presence, Events & Networking:
- Actively attend relevant sector-specific events (e.g. tech expos, sustainability summits, industry breakfasts) to stay abreast of trends and competitor activity.
- Work with the MD to develop strategic networking plans aligned to growth sectors and priority clients.
- Host events, roundtables and webinars to position Nucleo as a thought leader.
- Generate qualified leads and introductions through networking and follow-up, feeding into the sales pipeline.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience in technology consulting, professional services, or enterprise technology sales.
- A strong B2B network in Ireland and a demonstrable track record of selling services or solutions to senior stakeholders (CIOs, COOs, Heads of Digital, etc.).
- Deep understanding of technology consulting, including emerging areas like data & AI, automation, enterprise platforms and business systems.
- Experience developing and executing commercial go-to-market strategies.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and pipeline/sales performance tools
- Exceptional communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable in a scaling, entrepreneurial environment and motivated by autonomy, results and impact.
